School of Business ACTION STEPS

1.  Try to show up for class every day even when you don't feel like it.
2.  Be on time!
3.  Accept personal responsibility for everything that happens to you.
4.  Type everything if at all possible.
5. Proofread everything until you're tired of reading it, and then proof it again.
6.  Never, never, never argue a grade (refer to rule #3).
7.  Turn ALL assignments in on time.

Always do a little extra more than the average student will do (or is expected to do).

Professional Image Exercise:
(Refer to your worksheet)

During midterm, make copies of this page of your worksheets for each of your current professors.  Then ask yourself the following five questions about each professor (it is important that you be completely honest with yourself).  Evaluate your answers and make the necessary changes to solidify your reputation and get answers to questions 1 and 4 to match up with the answers to #2:

What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself as a student?

What three words would you like others to use in describing you as a student?

What three words would you NOT like others to use in describing you as a student?

What three words would THIS professor use to describe you as a student?

How would you describe your progress towards achieving #2?
