#1 - Chocolate River (Ballroom)
Needed: "s'mores" (brown & white construction paper) and masking tape
Objective: Use teamwork skills to get whole team across the river without losing all of their "s'mores."
The group must use the s'mores as stepping stones across a boiling hot chocolate river. If a person steps off the "s'more", the group loses the step. There must be physical contact (a hand or foot) with each step at all times. The group is given 1 step less than the number of people in the group (i.e., 9 people, 8 "s'mores")
#2 - Answering Machine (University Room)
Needed: Cassette of messages, tape recorder, and paper & pencils for group
Objective: Use problem solving skills to prioritize phone messages.
The group will listen to 6 audix messages. First, they will individually prioritize the phone messages. Then everyone will discuss their answers with the group and form a group consensus.
#3 - Small Conflict (Riverboat Room)
Needed: Current CAs as actors and paper & pencils for group
Objective: Use problem solving skills and logical thinking to figure out proper ways to confront conflicting residents.
The group will witness a small roommate conflict as a CA confronts the situation. The CA will say some things that are "correct" and other things that are not. First, the group will make their own list of things they saw that they felt were right and wrong. Then, everyone will discuss what they saw and their lists.
#4 - Silent Puzzle (Mississippi Room)
Needed: Puzzle pieces that form a square
Objective: Use nonverbal communication and teamwork to put a puzzle together.
Group members are not allowed to talk to each other as they try to put the puzzle together. When finished, the puzzle will be in the shape of a square.
#5 - Frisbee Game (Program Lounge)

Objective: Use communication and team work skills to move a ball from point A to point B.
