"Current Issues"
Directions: Your first assignment as R.A.'s is to plan a week of programs to address a current issue on campus.
First, as individuals, you will have 1-2 minutes to rank the following issues in order of their relevance in the residence hall community from 1 to 5.
1= Most important issue to address
5= Least important to address now
______ Date rape
______ Alcohol abuse
______ Racism
______ Career crises
______ Vandalism
Next, as a group, take 5 minutes to rank order your choices.
As a group, take 10 minutes to plan a week's worth of programs based on your #1 issue. You must have a theme for the week, and at least one event scheduled for each day. Please include specific plans as to how you will publicize your events, and guest speakers that you will use. You have an unlimited budget, so be creative!
Chose someone from your group to present your ideas. Each group will have 5 minutes to present the groups program ideas.
