Finding a Method

Whether you use a PDA, a day timer, sticky notes, or writing on your hand, some form of time management tool needs to be implemented!

It is critically important that you find the right method or combination of methods to manage your time. Here are some useful tools and methods many people use:

  • Daily Planner - these come in all shapes and sizes and levels of features. Some have one page per day, some have one page per week, and some have two pages per day! This is the most common way people tend to manage their time.

  • Computer Software

  • Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)

  • Sticky Notes

  • To-Do Lists

What is your tool of choice? If you don't currently have anything, or the method you use isn't effective, try something new!

Do Something!
  • On your worksheet, write down your time management tool(s).
  • If you don't currently use an effective time management tool, write down some ideas you would like to try. (ie, "start to use Outlook on my computer")
