Are students at your school denied the right to register to vote? Fight back. There is a serious problem going on around the country effecting students and we need you to help raise awareness to change it. College students who try to register and vote using their campus residence are being denied their right to vote by local election officials who claim that campus and school address are not considered a "permanent" residence.
You have a right to establish residency and vote in your college community
That's why a coalition or national organizations have lined up to FIGHT for the RIGHT of college students everywhere to cast a vote! If students at your college are denied the right to register and vote locally, we want to know about it. Where necessary, we will support legal action to protect your right to register and vote.
So speak up now! If students at your school have been discouraged, intimidated or denied the right to vote by the local election board please contact us directly. Misinformation about the negative consequences that voter registration may have on financial aid, taxes and health insurance are all common tactics used to discourage students from registering to vote. Lengthy questionnaires and special id requirements may also be illegal.
