SpeakingResources.com
James and Joe,
I've briefly gone over this idea with both of you, and I'd like to share my vauge thoughts a bit more with you.... I'd like to share with you what I'm looking at regarding content, marketing, and also a business relationship. Hopefully this brief intro can start some discussions.
I realize there are other resource sites out there for speakers, (although I'm not very familar with them yet) but I believe I can really build this site in much the way I have /archive/, which currently receives over 500,000 page view a MONTH.

Contents of the site (which will obviously be an attractive, professional looking site):
Free Resources:
Comprehensive Links Section (NSA, etc)Clearinghouse of Products (arrange affiliate relationships and/or rebranding)- ie... James' boot campProducts (these are just examples, but I see it as a clearinghouse of resource products)
Joe's friend's speaking "agent-replacing" software- Books on speaking
Paul Evans' stuff (instantspeakingsuccess.com)- etc etc etc... I'm sure you guys know of lots more great products out there that we could market for people, (as an affiliate)
Services
Web Site Audio Program (Web-Site-Audio.com). (we could privately brand his software). Custom websites (with simple administration - "get a website built in one day, and never pay webmaster again" - Through the same guy as websiteaudio.com AMAZING softare, with a one day turnaround). He's also willing to privately brand that service.Free articles, resources, etcDiscussion board
Marketing:
James, you asked about marketing (which is part of the reason I want you on board) :-)
Here are a few initial thoughts on that:
Joint ventures with various people (ie, Paul Evans has over 11,000 people on his speakers newsletter list)... set up a joint venture with himBuild a high quality list over time by offering article series, etc (via an autoresponder). Advertise with NSA (or better yet, get them to sponsor the site) Market to res life professionals (MANY aspiring speakers in this field who would be interested in a) products to improve their jobs b) resources to help them get out on their own. Using both of your networks to get the word out. We would also market to the personal coach market, (which is bigger than the speaking market). I also have PersonalCoachingResources.com, and we would simply have a "mirror site" catered toward them.- We would create "viral marketing" products, such as free ebooks, etc that contain promo material, and links back to the site...
