Resource Recommendation for CCC

I threw up this page so that you could check out some new software I just ran across that could really be a great resource for the church.

Below is a sample of what this audio can do (this week's sermon from Pastor Robert)... I just started using this software in my business in several different ways, but through chatting w/the creator of the software (Derek Barker) I've found out about some amazing solutions for churches...

Click "play" below:

This audio software converts different types of audio to streaming audio for the web that you don't have to download and doesn't take tons of server space compared to other formats. (for example, this is almost the entire sermon and it's only about 2 megs)

Now here's what's so cool for churches... Derek has set up a back end admin system in which the person by the computer during the service could literally press "record" at the beginning of the sermon and "stop" at th end, and INSTANTLY, that day's sermon would be uploaded to a previously specified FTP folder, AND it instantly shows up in streaming audio on the church calendar website (which is also a cool tool). No programming or anything...

The rest of his website system is equally simple. you can update pages from browser, update the calendar, etc. Anyone can do it, even if they aren't extremely technical. This would also be great for allowing various ministry directors, etc have easy access to their own page on the church website.

Obviously, this might affect the tape ministry somewhat... so I don't know how that would stand if the tape ministry is a revenue producer, but I love the fact that you could catch a sermon at home or at work if you were out of town, etc. just by going online, and no need to download anything.

Let me know if you are interested in more info, or just contact Derek Barker at Allmightypower.net (866-761-4852). I'm sure he will take you through a demo, as he's done for my business applications.

Take care,
