It is Sunday at 7:00pm. You've just returned to the Residence Hall after a wonderful weekend. You are totally exhausted and look forward to completing some studying and getting to bed early. However, upon checking your messages, your hopes for a relaxing evening are dashed. The messages are detailed below.
1) I have the money for the Thursday night program. When can we get the food?
--fellow RA
2) Hi! How was your weekend? Mine was terrible. Jim and I had a big fight!
--Resident on your floor
3) Residence Life surveys are due in my box on Thursday at 4:00pm, so remember to collect them from your floor.
--Hall Director
4) Hi, this is Jen in room 511. Last night when we were watching movies there were several racist comments made. I felt really uncomfortable, but didn't say anything. I don't know what to do. Please call or stop by so we can talk.
--Resident on your floor
5) Hi! I was doing rounds and smelled what I thought was pot coming from the triple room on your floor. I confronted the residents, but feel you should follow up with them.
--RA on duty
6) Help! It is freezing in my room. Can't you do something about the lack of heat?
--Resident in the building
7) We'll stop by to pick you up around 9:00pm on Tuesday to go downtown. Don't stand us up again!!
--your lonely friends
8) Yes, this is Officer DeWitt. We are looking for a drifter in the building and are needing to question him. He is white, 6'4", brown hair and wearing jeans and a plaid shirt.
--University Police Officer
9) My roommate and I are just not getting along. She snores at night and always has friends over late. I am sick of it and want to move out.
--Resident on your floor
10) This is Kristen in 507. I went into the restroom and saw a man showering in there. I heard him leave, but later saw him looking in my window. He was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt. Call soon! I'm scared!
--Resident on your floor
11) Hi! I've learned from the housekeeper that there was a real mess on your floor this weekend. Please come talk with me about this.
--Hall Director
12) Yeah, I need to check out of my room. I'm moving home. I really need to be out by 10:00pm tonight. My plane leaves at 11:30. Give me a call.
