Things Participants of 'Trading Stalls' Need To Know
1. Money: You are free to go and buy your supplies/decorations anytime after I give you your teams and your money. Your 'team budget' is $5. If you choose to go over that you will only be reimbursed for the $5. You may also use any supplies you already have. Res. Life can only pay you back for the total NOT including the tax (tax will only be around 70 cents). In order to get reimbursed I MUST have the receipt. If I do not get the receipt, you cannot be paid back! The receipts can ONLY have the stuff you buy for the stall on them. They cannot have shampoo or other random things you bought on the same day?so make sure to buy the 'Trading Stalls' stuff separately.
2. Decorating: You are free to design your stall anyway you would like, just remember that it cannot be offensive to anyone, decorations cannot be touching the ceiling, and keep in mind that these decorations should be well attached so that the decorations can stay up as long as possible (a.k.a. Don't forget to buy things like tape, adhesive squares, exc). If you are assigned to a shower stall keep in mind that your decorations should be able to withstand small amounts of water and humidity. Also be realistic?don't have something that will be dangling in someone's face or the toilet. Try to think of what you are going to do or a theme before the contest actually begins. You can also make things ahead of time (so when the day comes you can just throw the stuff up).
3. General Info: The contest will take about an hour and will be starting at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 12th. To make this more like 'Trading Spaces,' Rich and I will be video taping the activity. If you do not want to be taped, just let me know. Since you will be on camera if teams want to wear something similar to show they are a team that would look good on the video - not at all necessary. After the contest is over, the panel of judges will come in and decide which stall was the best decorated. The winning team will receive a prize.
4. The Point: HAVE FUN and make the bathroom look awesome. Be as crazy and creative with the decorations as you want!
