This is a variation on your already posted "Magnetic
(Tape) Poetry" bulletin board. The residents
got to move words around on the bulletin board to make
their own poetry.
Instructions/things needed:
*colored paper
*computer and printer (or marker if you want to do it by
hand)
*scissors
*adhesive poster putty
I went to poetry.com to find a whole bunch of creative
words. I put them on the computer and printed them out
on colored paper. (I actually printed them on the back
of out-dated fliers that had been on my campus
information bulletin board.) I cut out all the words and
then fastened a little piece of poster putty to each
one. That way, the words are movable without damaging
the bulletin board paper.
Things to consider:
Don't hesitate to include fun words. If someone decides
to be vulgar, you can always go move the words around.
My residents had a great time and made some really
thought-provoking combinations.
