Visor Deluxe
Anyone who knows me knows
that I never leave home without my Visor in my pocket. I take my notes
in class with it, I bring it to meetings, catch up on my email, read
the day's news and sports, check local movie listings, (It doesn't
have internet access, but using free software called AvantGO, it
downloads selected info every time I sync it with my computer) play
games, and much more. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone
with a busy schedule. Feel free to email
me if you have questions about it. Here are some of the features:
-
8mb
of memory stores thousands of appointments, to do items, contacts,
emails and more.
-
Easy
input text (I can write in this as fast as I write by hand, and it
converts it to text I can print or email)
-
Link
to Microsoft Outlook for your schedule, contacts and emails (also
works with many other programs, and includes it's own software you
can use)
-
Fully
compatible with thousands of Palm OS applications. (many of them
freeware.)
-
Backlight
for night use
-
Includes
USP hotsync cradle, snap cover, & leather slipcase
-
fully
expandable with handspring springboard modules available for
purchase including voice recorders, a cell phone, GPS system,
backup modules, extra memory and much more.
Just
a bit cheaper Handspring
Visor Deluxe
This is the same as the visor deluxe (but only
available in one color), but with only 2mb of RAM. Personally, I like
having 8 megs, but I use it for my email and for internet news
clippings, etc. Most people won't use 8 megs, so this is a good option
for you.
Landware
GoType keyboard for the HandSpring Visor
I don't have one of these, but if you like using a keyboard, this is a
great accessory for the Visor. While it does not fold as small as the
stowaway keyboard, it is easier to use when there is not a hard
surface to type on.
Stowaway
Keyboard for the Handspring Visor
One of my RAs just bought this keyboard, and it is amazing! It folds
up almost as small as the PDA itself, then expands to the size of a
full keyboard. Highly recommended!
Palm
M100 Handheld
This is one of the cheapest PDAs on the market right now. It has the
same functionality as the Handspring Visor Deluxe (2mb) except it is
not expandable (no ability to connect a modem, etc). For the price,
it's a good deal.
